Gregg Gorski Fights Hard in Return to Radical Cup North America

The Radical Cup North America series made its return to the lengthy Road America this past weekend for three more rounds of their 2024 season. Veteran competitor and EVR Motorsports driver Gregg Gorski returned to racing after missing the second round at Barber Motorsports Park in April as he competed in the ultra-fast Platinum class.

In practice one, Gorski showed he was quick in his #24 EVR Motorsports CockOil and Smokebuddy branded Radical SR-10 XXR machine, finishing as the sixth-fastest driver in the platinum class. Gorski was fast again in practice two, setting the fifth-fastest time in class as he continued to find the pace needed to battle for strong finishes.

In qualifying on Friday, Gorski showed a strong pace, setting the fifth-fastest time overall and in class. In race one, Gorski fought near the front of the field, ultimately finishing where he started in the fifth position. A rainstorm heading through the area shortened race two after just four green flag laps, with Gorski finishing on the podium, his first of the weekend in third. Later, a post-race penalty was applied for an on-track incident that dropped him to sixth in class. Due to personal reasons, Gorski did not start race three on Sunday, concluding his weekend early.

“It was a bit of an up-and-down weekend for us,” Gorski explained. “We had good pace throughout the weekend, but we didn’t come away with the results to show it. Still, it was great to return to Radical Cup, and the EVR Motorsports crew worked super hard all weekend.”

Gorski’s next appearance will be in less than two weeks’ time as he takes on the famed Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca over the June 21-23 weekend.
